Measure thoughts and feelings with BioSensor Tracking
BioSensor Tracking is a wearable technology that you can use to complement your studies and measure your participants’ level of engagement during the session. The tool measures different biological indicators of your participants’ session experience through a Smart Watch. This advanced tool allows you to complement other indicators by getting insights into their level of “focus” as they interact with your websites, apps, or prototypes.
Get inside the minds of your customers
Academic researchers and neuroscientists have identified two key elements to neurologic concentration: attention to the experience and emotional resonance. The Key Algorithm: Attention + Emotional Resonance = Product Affinity. As attention increases, activity in the brain’s prefrontal cortex causes an increase in sympathetic activity.
What type of participant data does BioSensor Tracking gather?
Emotional Resonance is associated with the brain’s synthesis of oxytocin, which increases activity of the vagus nerve. Our system indirectly measures activity in the nerves that control the heart, and this activity is correlated with signals from the brain, which allows us to quantify the neurologic responses to any kind of experience. We capture this with fitness sensors and smartwatches. Our algorithms convert neural signals into predictors of decisions and actions (not simply intentions or feelings).
To summarize: Our BioSensor Tracking tool analyzes both the participant’s state of attention and emotional resonance throughout the session via proven neurologic indicators, gathering a clear picture of your participant’s attentiveness toward your digital product.
How can BioSensor Tracking complement your UX testing?
BioSensor Tracking is a tool that helps you understand how people focus while using your product. It does this by analyzing how engaged people are with your product as they interact with it.
This quantitative approach allows for the detection of more subtle emotional reactions that elude self-reporting, either because participants are unwilling to share them or articulate them or because participants are (consciously) unaware of them.
What types of studies can I use BioSensor Tracking with?
Right now, BioSensor tracking in is the beta stage, and can only be applied toward the following types of unmoderated studies:
- Website testing for desktop + Userlytics Worldwide Panel Participants.
- Prototype testing for desktop + Userlytics Worldwide Panel Participants.
